"Om, Let me meditate on Lord Narayana,
[The Divine, not a deity] Oh, Lord Vasudeva, give me higher intellect,
And let Lord Vishnu illuminate my mind.
(Let the sustainer Vishnu shine in our heart and reveal himself)
Narayana is the Vedic Supreme God according to Vedas, Itihasas, Bhagavata Purana and Other Puranas (including his different avatars) in Hinduism, venerated as the Supreme Being in Vaishnavism (Vishnu the Sustainer). He is also known as Vishnu and Hari and is venerated as Purushottama or Supreme Purusha in Hindu sacred texts such as the Bhagavad Gita, the Vedas, and the Puranas. Vishnu is the God of preservation, saving the world from destructive forces. He brings harmony into relationship.

"If, when chanting, I have made any errors in pronouncing letters, breaking up words, pronouncing vowels, or have inadvertantly broken any rules of chanting, I pray that I may be forgiven."
This prayer is to the Divine seeking for forgiveness for the inadvertant errors made while chanting. After recitation, connect with the asking forgiveness in silence.
